Fayetteville VA airway clinic to relocate

Fayetteville Observer - 7/23/2019

Jul. 23--Starting Monday, a clinic at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center will move from its current location on Ramsey Street to the Fayetteville VA Health Care Center, officials said.

The Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Clinic will relocate to the health care center at 7300 S. Raeford Road.

"Several factors precipitated our need to relocate the CPAP clinic, primarily the combination of growing patient population, coupled with internal renovations on our Ramsey Street campus," said Holly Shoopman, FVAMC chief of Respiratory Care Services.

Shoopman said the move benefits Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Clinic patients, who will have appointments in the same location as the majority of other outpatient appointments.

The Fayetteville Health Care Center has been the primary site for outpatient services for Fayetteville area veterans since its opening in November 2015.

"We are working hard to ensure a smooth transition and ask our clinic patrons for patience as we make this move," said Shoopman, who said word about the move is also being communicated by mail, secure messaging and social media platforms.

In a separate but similar move, the sleep clinic at the Ramsey Street medical center is also slated to move to Womack Army Medical Center in mid-August as renovations are made at the Ramsey Street campus.
